2021 VLBC Christmas Eve Worship

ACT 1: The Gift of the Law

“Then God gave the people all these instructions: “I am the Lord your God, who rescued you

from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery. “You must not have any other god but me.”

Exodus 20:1-3

ACT 2: The Proclamation of the Prophets

“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he

will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

ACT 3: The Ministry of John the Baptist

“In those days John the Baptist came to the Judean wilderness and began preaching. His

message was, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.” The

prophet Isaiah was speaking about John when he said, “He is a voice shouting in the wilderness,

‘Prepare the way for the Lord’s coming! Clear the road for him!’” Matthew 3:1-3

ACT 4: The Wonder of the Shepherds

“That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep.

Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory

surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said.

“I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the

Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! And you will recognize him by this

sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.” Luke 2:8-12

ACT 5: The Life of the Eternal Son

“For when you see me, you are seeing the one who sent me. I have come as a light to shine in

this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the dark.” John

12:45-46

ACT 1: 율법의 선물

ACT 2: 선지자들의 선포

“이는 한 아기가 우리에게 났고 한 아들을 우리에게 주신 바 되었는데 그의 어깨에는 정사를

메었고 그의 이름은 기묘자라, 모사라, 전능하신 하나님이라, 영존하시는 아버지라, 평강의

왕이라 할 것임이라” 사 9:6

ACT 3: 침례 요한의 사역

“그 때에 세례 요한이 이르러 유대 광야에서 전파하여 말하되 회개하라 천국이 가까이

왔느니라 하였으니 그는 선지자 이사야를 통하여 말씀하신 자라 일렀으되 광야에 외치는 자의

소리가 있어 이르되 너희는 주의 길을 준비하라 그가 오실 길을 곧게 하라 하였느니라” 마 3:1-

ACT 4: 목자들의 탄성

“그 지역에 목자들이 밤에 밖에서 자기 양 떼를 지키더니 주의 사자가 곁에 서고 주의 영광이

그들을 두루 비추매 크게 무서워하는지라 천사가 이르되 무서워하지 말라 보라 내가 온

백성에게 미칠 큰 기쁨의 좋은 소식을 너희에게 전하노라 오늘 다윗의 동네에 너희를 위하여

구주가 나셨으니 곧 그리스도 주시니라 너희가 가서 강보에 싸여 구유에 뉘어 있는 아기를

보리니 이것이 너희에게 표적이니라 하더니” 눅 2:8-12

ACT 5: 영원하신 아들의 생명

“나를 보는 자는 나를 보내신 이를 보는 것이니라 나는 빛으로 세상에 왔나니 무릇 나를 믿는

자로 어둠에 거하지 않게 하려 함이로라” 요 12:45-46
