God Saves Sinners

“Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by

faith.” Galatians 3:11

 

1. We are Sinners

“In the same way we also, when we were children, were enslaved to the elementary principles

of the world.” Galatians 4:3

 

“Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to those that by nature are not

gods. Galatians 4:8

 

“Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, imprisoned until the coming faith

would be revealed.” Galatians 3:23

 

2. Jesus Came to Save Sinners

 

“But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the

law,” Galatians 4:4

 

“To redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.”

Galatians 4:5

 

3. Jesus is the Perfect Sacrifice

 

a) Jesus Became a Curse for us

“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written,

“Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree” Galatians 3:13

 

4. Those Who Believe in Christ are His Children

“to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. “Galatians4:5

 

“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children

of God,” John 1:12

 

5. We must live like we are his children
